Tour de France day

Today in school we have celebrated the Tour de France. We came in dressed as cyclists or in the colours of the French flag. Each class enjoyed activities based around the tour such as watching videos, writing news reports, making information booklets and posters and singing songs in French or about bikes. You can see some of our work below.

Mini Vinnies and School Council Cake Exchange

A selection of our great cakes.

A selection of our great cakes.

Today we held our first tea and coffee cake exchange in aid of the Trussell Trust.  Mini Vinnies and School Council gave their own time making delicious cakes which were given out in exchange for a donation to our local food bank. We want to thank everyone for their kind donations, they will be taken to the food bank on Wednesday to make a real difference in our community.

Welcome

Welcome to the official blog of St Mary’s RC Primary school. Our blog will be used to share the children’s learning that takes place in school as well any other interesting things that may happen along the way.

As well as the teachers blogging we will actively encourage the children to write their own pieces that we can share as well.

Through our blog we will look to share our learning not just with our families and the local community, but to hopefully build national and international links.

We would be happy for you to share the blog with anyone who may be interested in what happens in our school.
